DB Best announced a release of the new version of Database Compare Suite.   DBCS 4.12_700

What’s new?

First, we added a SQL code tab in the ‘Schema comparison’ operation window. It simplifies line-by-line comparison of the SQL code in the compared objects. We then improved the Fast Data Comparison operation by adding the row count comparison option. This option helps perform a quick check to see if the big tables are equal or not. Also, the latest version of Database Compare Suite provides the ability to set up column and parameter mappings for compared objects (in previous versions only type mapping was available).   See the release notes to discover other improvements and fixes or get more technical information on our blog.   Download Database Compare Suite or upgrade your copy of the application from the official site.

Microsoft has recognized Daniel Janik as a Data Platform MVP. The Microsoft MVP Award celebrates technology experts who passionately share their knowledge with the community. In Daniel’s own words, here’s what he had to say about earning MVP Status:   “My head may very well explode. I was doing some tuning today and glanced at the Outlook new mail notification. At first I thought it was spam and then I did a double take.   It was a thank you from Microsoft and notification that I was awarded MVP for 2017-2018! I nearly fell out of my chair and I seriously couldn’t have been more excited. Thank you.   I cannot thank the community enough for allowing me to speak at your user groups, reading my blog posts, and selecting my sessions for SQL Saturday. I truly feel honored be a part of the SQL community and I love meeting new faces and chatting with friends at each event.   So again here’s a big THANK YOU! To the community.”

So, from everyone at DB Best, we would like to give a very hearty congratulations to Daniel Janik for this fantastic achievement!   You can find Daniel's blog here: Follow Daniel on Twitter: @SQLSME
