Database Compare Suite 5.1

DB Best announces a release of the new version of Database Compare Suite 5.1. This release brings the support of Microsoft Access, as well as the ability to use SSL to connect to PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.

What’s new in Database Compare Suite 5.1?

Over time, many organizations decide to modernize their aging Microsoft Access workloads. As they are looking for greater security and high availability, they decide to adopt a new database platform. You can migrate your Microsoft Access database to Microsoft SQL Server or the Basic service tier of Azure SQL Database. You may even choose another on-premises database platform or a cloud solution. Regardless of the target of your Access database migration, you need a proven solution to validate the migration process. Now you can use Database Compare Suite to compare data between Microsoft Access and other 17 supported database platforms.

We added the option to use SSL to connect to PostgreSQL and MySQL databases. This approach allows for protecting your data and establishing a secure connection to your database over the Internet. So, now you can establish the SSL connection to the following databases:

  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • MySQL
  • Oracle Database
  • PostgreSQL

Finally, Database Compare Suite now allows to exclude computed columns from data operations.
