    Description

    SSMA (SQL Server Migration Assistant) is a Microsoft tool that lets users migrate databases from such platforms as Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, DB2, and MS Access to SQL Server. SSMA converts source database objects to SQL Server, loads those objects into SQL Server, and then migrates data. The project was developed especially for Microsoft. The project took six years (for the first 2 years, the project was implemented in Java and later fully ported to Microsoft .NET.). It took the efforts of 14 developers, 10 testers, and 8 DBAs.

    Description

    Complex Web Solution for managing inventory and sales information, security and settings. It includes Email Services support, Presentation Server for video sharing etc. RTW Web HQ could be used as a Web interface for Microsoft Navision DB, which supports all functionality of Navision GUI Tools and even extends this functionality (Email Services, Presentation Server, Contacts Manager, etc). Essentially the best of both worlds: You get all the advantages of the Web, but if the Web does go down (or gets slow) the smart client continues to operate at full capacity and performance. If there is any Internet service disruption, the data is safely held in a local database and later sent to corporate headquarters (when connectivity is restored) just as if the connection was never broken. RTW HQ and Web HQ embrace all the benefits of the Web (no local administration), yet provide all the power of a traditional software application.

    Description

    HQ is an application-component of the distributed RTW retailer system. It is designed to aggregate data of distributed system in one place, process and post transactions from multiple Point of Sale systems, give access to consolidated reports, manage global settings, and control remotely connected Point of Sales. A special component was created to balance load level and manage processing tasks to be able to operate with an almost unlimited number of connected Point of Sales. HQ component was developed on top of Microsoft Navision. HQ is also used as a platform for Web HQ, TRS, etc.
