Dmitry Balin

CEO and co-founder of DB Best Technologies — leads business development and customer/partner engagements. After selling the DB Best products to Microsoft, Dmitry spent the last three years in Microsoft as Principal Program Manager in SQL Server Product group designing SSMA, and then as Director in SQL Server Marketing group leading overall migration program and strategy. He’s Microsoft and Oracle Certified Professional,and IBM DB2 Certified Solutions Expert. Dmitry speaks frequently at conferences such as TechEd, PASS, TechReady, Financial Developers’ Conference. He trained hundreds of internal Microsoft people, customers and partners on migrations and SSMA. Prior to DB Best Dmitry worked for IBM Haifa Research Lab and as a database consultant thereafter. He got his B.Sc. in Computer Science from Technion Israeli Institute of Technology.

Irena Balin

President and co-founder of DB Best Technologies — leads product development, services and operations. After the deal with Microsoft, Irena spent over three years as Development Manager in SQL Server Product group leading development of SSMA. During her tenure at Microsoft the number of SSMA released products increased in four times, and the product release never missed a deadline! Irena is responsible for growing the team from zero to 90+ employees, and bringing DB Best Migration Suite and then SSMA to the market. Her expertise is software development, product and project management in database and network applications. Prior to DB Best Irena worked for Harmonic and Madge Networks where she held various positions in software development and project/product management. She got her B.Sc. in Comp Science from Technion Israeli Institute of Technology.

Prabhat Varma

VP of Sales — Prabhat is a 20 year Silicon Valley and Microsoft veteran having helped build the sales and consulting organizations of two Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing companies – RedBrick and IBIS Consulting - from pre-IPO to successful public offerings. He comes to us from Microsoft where over the past 11 years, he has led development and sales teams across a number of organizations including Xbox, Microsoft TV and Services. On a personal note, Prabhat enjoys rock crawling in his heavily modified Toyota FJ40 and spending time with his wife, daughter and four dogs. He holds degrees in Economics and Computer Science.

Lior Ribalov

VP of Business Development and leads EMEA projects — Responsible for developing and implementing DB Best marketing strategy and coordinating the delivery of projects relations with partners in EMEA region. Lior is a professional software project manager and an IT Governance Process architect with a wide knowledge and experience in developing web 2.0 applications, software technologies and project management. Has been active in these areas for the last ten years. He got his M.Sc and B.Sc degrees in Industrial Engineering and Information Systems at Ben-Gurion University. Prior to DB Best he worked as IT Governance specialist and IT Project Management in an Israel government agency and held lead development positions in Comverse as development leader and project manager.
