DB Best Technologies LLC was founded in March 2002 in Silicon Valley, CA.
DB Best offers database migration and cross-platform development solutions for the enterprise market. DB Best product offerings cover all aspects of database migration projects starting with assessment all the way through testing.
To offer the highest-quality migration products and services, we're skilled in all major database platforms, including: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and Access, IBM DB2 UDB, Sybase, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
With its Professional Services division DB Best helps partners and customers to implement database migration projects and to develop cross-platform applications to run in heterogeneous database environments.
DBBest team:
Dmitry Balin is CTO and co-founder of DB Best Technologies where he led company's efforts in business development, working with customers and partners, and designing products. His expertise is primarily in database migration and performance tuning of Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 UDB, and Sybase. He's Microsoft and Oracle Certified Professional, and IBM DB2 Certified Solutions Expert. Prior to DB Best Dmitry worked for IBM Haifa Research Lab and as a database consultant thereafter. He got his B.Sc. in Comp Sc from Technion Israeli Institute of Technology.
Irena Balin is VP of Engineering and co-founder of DB Best Technologies where she was responsible for all company's products and the development team in US and Ukraine. She built the team from zero to 15 people, and brought DB Best Migration Suite to the market. Her expertise is software development, product and project management in database and network applications. Prior to DB Best Irena worked for Harmonic Inc. and Madge Networks where she held various positions in software development and project/product management. She got her B.Sc. in Comp Sc from Technion Israeli Institute of Technology. In the early 90's Irena used to be a professional chess player and got a title of FIDE Master.
Igor Bekelman: Chief Architect (DB Best Technologies), designed and developed database migration platform. Prior to that, work with several startups at US. Originally from Odessa, Ukraine where worked as software developer in different industries, including Russian Space Shuttle and Ukrainian Kennel Association. Interests: databases, transformation, metadata, framework programming, algorithms, games like chess, bridge etc. and poetry.
DBBest runs a development center in Kharkov, Ukraine.
